Call for an Intern
Regan Jones, RD (dba ReganMillerJones, Inc.) is now accepting applications for a non-paid, part-time intern to support the integrated nutrition communications and food marketing portfolio of ReganMillerJones, Inc., and the affiliated brands of Healthy Aperture, The Recipe ReDux, and The Professional Palate Blog.
Overview
This heavily web-based internship opportunity may include, but not be limited to, experiences including:
• developing/editing food and nutrition content and recipes appropriate for a food blog
• developing/editing food and nutrition content and managing distribution across various social media channels
• learning basic fundamentals of food photography and introductory post-processing techniques
• evaluating cross-promotional branding and sponsorship opportunities for an integrated nutrition communications and food marketing business
• supporting basic administrative tasks fundamental to running a small business
Qualifications
Ideal candidate will:
• be highly motivated and self-directed as this internship will primarily be supervised remotely and through online communications
• have at least two (2) years college-level education in nutrition, food science or culinary arts (specialization or work experience in communications, marketing or public relations considered a plus)
• be actively involved in social media or able to illustrate knowledge/interest in online communications (knowledge of blogging and social media platforms considered a plus)
• have strong interest in and aptitude for recipe development and food photography
• be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week
• be available to meet one-on-one at least once per month in the Augusta, Atlanta, or Birmingham metro areas
